Michael de Rooy voelde zich als een vis in het water tijdens de ETCR Truck Grand Prix op Circuit Zolder. Het weer zat niet echt mee voor de toeschouwers, maar de aanwezigen zagen een dominant optreden van De Rooy met zijn e92 BMW M3. Door de 2 overwinningen, neemt hij terug een haalbare positie in de titelstrijd.
In het kader van de FIA European Truck Championship (ETRC) reden de BSSC wagens op zondag 2 natte races… De regen kwam vlak voor race 2 met bakken uit de lucht en maakte de baan erg glad.
De leiders in de tussenstanden van de klasse- en algemene titelstrijd, deden allen goede zaken. Dit betekend dat de strijd voor het algemene kampioenschap en in enkel klassen in Assen beslecht zal worden.
Op Michael de Rooy stond geen maat tijdens de regen races afgelopen weekend. Een dubbelslag met respectievelijk 24 en 15 seconden voorsprong op de tweede toont de dominantie waarmee Michael zijn BMW M3 door het water stuurde. De auto en de banden waren feilloos en het was ook zijn eerste regen race in de 2,5 jaar dat hij in de BSSC rijdt. Door deze overwinningen houdt hij zijn kansen in de titelstrijd.
In klasse 5 was er geen dubbelslag voor de zwarte BMWM4 van Chandeck-Lambregs. Karl-Heinz behaalde wel een derde plaats algemeen en de klasse overwinning in de eerste race, maar Johan Lambregs kon dit resultaat niet evenaren in de tweede race. Hij pakte een vierde plaats algemeen maar moest de klasse overwinning laten aan een zeer sterk rijdende Bert Van Gansen in de Mini JCW. Van Gansen hield het hoofd koel maar moest toch de limieten opzoeken om een uitstekend weekend af te ronden. Ruud Boffin rondde het podium af in beide races met een spectaculaire rijstijl in zijn e36 BMW.
Klasse 4 was wederom een demonstratie van Jean-Paul Hulsebos. Vooral race 1 gaf de BMW rijder veel voldoening. Hij haalde tijdens de eerste ronde 2 klasse 5 auto’s in en ging vervolgens aan en gecontroleerd tempo op wat naar een mooie tweede plaats. In race 1 was het een close finish tussen David Vyncke in zijn BMW 125i en Jan-Jaap Van Dalen in de BMW e46 WTCC. Met een verschil 0,9sec haalde Vyncke de tweede plaats voor Van Dalen.
De regen en natte baan gaven klasse 3 rijder Arno De Bruijn een mooie kans om zijn eerste regenraces mooi af te werken met zijn Toyota Yaris GR. De 4x4 aangedreven Toyota gaf geen krimp, gaf vertrouwen en gaf Arno 2 klasse overwinningen. De 2 tweede plaatsen van Davy Van Goethem (Suzuki Swift) en de 2 derde plaatsen van Ignace Van Den Broeck (Renault Clio) maken de eindstrijd in klasse 3 extra spannend. De laatste manche in Assen belooft spektakel !
Klasse 2 gaf in de eerste race door penalties, een Full Course Yellow periode en een tactisch voorzichtige aanpak de zege aan de Renault Clio rijder Kristoff Cox. Cox behaalde zo een eerste overwinning in de BSSC voor Ines Lammens in haar e90 BMW 325i. Zij kon aan de streep net Geoffrey Vankets in een gelijkaardige BMW achter zich houden. Race 2 bracht Tom Vanderheyden wat meer geluk deze keer. Hij woonde klasse in zijn vertrouwde Ford Fiesta en behoud zo zijn kansen op de titel in klasse 2.
Glenn Kerckhofs behield de kansen gaaf voor de BMW 123D nadat Dirk Rombouts in de eerste reeks niet verder kwam dan de zesde plaats in klasse. Jo Lammens maakte het podium compleet na een fenomenale inhaal race.
Klasse 1 werd zoals eerdere keren dit seizoen gedomineerd door Emre Kahraman. De Opel Kadett en Emre voelden zich als een vis in het water en liet in race 1 Glenn Verhulst met de VW Golf IV achter zich en in race 2 een verdienstelijke Senna Daems met de witte Ford Fiesta.

Michael de Rooy was in his element during the ETCR Truck Grand Prix at Circuit Zolder. While the weather wasn't exactly ideal for spectators, those present witnessed a dominant performance by De Rooy in his e92 BMW M3. Thanks to his two victories, he has put himself back in contention for the title.
As part of the FIA European Truck Championship (ETRC) event, the BSSC cars competed in two wet races on Sunday... Just before the second race, the heavens opened, making the track extremely slippery. The leaders in both the class and overall championship standings all strengthened their positions. This means the battle for the overall title—as well as in certain classes—will be decided at Assen.
Michael de Rooy was unstoppable during last weekend's wet races. A double victory—finishing 24 and 15 seconds ahead of the runner-up, respectively—demonstrated the dominance with which Michael piloted his BMW M3 through the wet conditions. Both car and tires performed flawlessly; notably, this was also his first wet race in the two and a half years he has been competing in the BSSC.nThese victories keep his title hopes alive.
In Class 5, there was no double win for the black BMW M4 driven by the Chandeck-Lambregs duo. While Karl-Heinz secured third place overall and the class win in the first race, Johan Lambregs could not match that result in the second race. He finished fourth overall but had to concede the class victory to Bert Van Gansen, who drove an exceptionally strong race in his Mini JCW. Van Gansen kept a cool head but still had to push the limits to cap off an outstanding weekend. Ruud Boffin rounded out the podium in both races, displaying a spectacular driving style in his BMW E36.
Class 4 saw another masterclass from Jean-Paul Hulsebos. The first race, in particular, was highly satisfying for the BMW driver; he overtook two Class 5 cars on the opening lap and then drove at a controlled pace to secure an impressive second-place finish. Race 1 featured a close finish between David Vyncke in his BMW 125i and Jan-Jaap Van Dalen in the BMW E46 WTCC, with Vyncke taking second place ahead of Van Dalen by a margin of 0.9 seconds.
The rain and wet track provided Class 3 driver Arno De Bruijn with a great opportunity to excel in his first wet races behind the wheel of his Toyota Yaris GR. The all-wheel-drive Toyota didn't miss a beat, instilling confidence and delivering two class victories for Arno. The two second-place finishes for Davy Van Goethem (Suzuki Swift) and the two third-place finishes for Ignace Van Den Broeck (Renault Clio) make the final showdown in Class 3 all the more exciting. The final round at Assen promises to be spectacular!
In the first race, a combination of penalties, a Full Course Yellow period, and a tactically cautious approach handed the Class 2 victory to Renault Clio driver Kristoff Cox.
This marked Cox's first BSSC win, finishing ahead of Ines Lammens in her E90 BMW 325i. She managed to just hold off Geoffrey Vankets—driving an identical BMW—at the finish line. Race 2 brought better luck for Tom Vanderheyden. He won his class in his trusty Ford Fiesta, keeping his Class 2 title hopes alive.
Glenn Kerckhofs kept the BMW 123D in contention after Dirk Rombouts had finished no higher than sixth in class during the first race. Jo Lammens rounded out the podium following a phenomenal recovery drive.
As has been the case throughout the season, Class 1 was dominated by Emre Kahraman. Emre and his Opel Kadett were in their element, leaving Glenn Verhulst (VW Golf IV) behind in the first race and a commendable Senna Daems (white Ford Fiesta) in the second.
